A E L HISTORY - 1987
| The A.E.L. was founded in Sofia in 1987 by a number of well-known figures
in European violinmaking, together in that town as the members of the jury of the
violinmaking competition. Pierre Taconné, Gio Batta Morassi, Antonio Capela, Karl Roy,
Eckhart Richter and Vladimir Pilar gave the initial drive for the project.
